Farm exhibiting vintage tractors, agricultural machinery & a narrow gauge railway. Open selectively.
Fabulous! Muddy, chaotic and genuine interest. Staff are wonderful. A few more tables for outside would be good but don't change anything else. Our 4 year old was engrossed. Best place all year.
Excellent place to visit, an excellent collection run by really friendly people. Lots of trains, tractors and stationary engines and providing they didn't pull too many levers our boys were allowed to climb on some of the vehicles. We also got to see them using a portable turntable!
Lovely little place. Toddler enjoyed the oldt rain ride.
A really good day out. Not especially good for mobility scooter or wheelchair users, due to uneven ground, and you should avoid if you are a Karen as it's a working museum and based in a farm environment so not a clean place to visit. For everybody else it's great. A working railway, with regular rides round the site, lots of exhibits of old trains, tractors, farming equipment, cranes, and an old, genuine railway signal box. interesting for the whole family, (except Karen) and a very good atmosphere created by a very knowledgeable team. Open the first Sunday of each month and we will definitely visit again. A very inexpensive and interesting day out. And quite possibly the longest review I've written on Google
Interesting example of a farm yard railway plenty for the enthusiast
Visited here again for the last open day of the season. The volunteers were very helpful as i am a wheelchair user and helped me about the site when there were parts i could not access myself and also helped me board the train of which there is a wheelchair space. There is an accessible toilet also. Some of the site is difficult to access but the volunteers are very friendly and helpful.
