North Kessock Community Pier is the only public facility suitable for small to medium boat launching in the inner Moray Firth. We recently upgraded the structure by adding a Small Boat Jetty, to greatly enhance safe access for all users, especially those with reduced mobility. Free dedicated boat trailer parking is available in the adjacent car park. An excellent spot for dolphin watching, it also provides a fabulous viewpoint for taking photographs of the Beauly Firth, especially spectacular sunsets!
They are doing a fabulous job over in north Kessock. I went with my son and grandson while they were fishing, spent some time in there lovely garden area just chatting. I only live a few miles from here across the Beauley Firth wish I had found this lovely garden before now is just a nice place to sit x the people of Kessock should be proud of what they have achieved . Recommend you take a flask of coffee/ tea and maybe a little picnic because it's well worth the trip x
Lovely place to sit. Need 20p to use the toilets
Lovely community run enterprise, loads of fascinating local history. Very clean toilet facilities.
Lovely wee area to sit and watch the world go by
Great place for launching a boat with a donation given. It also has a clean toilet for 20p. Great place for crabbing, plenty of crabs, but be careful as the slipway has the correct name, it can be very slippery. I broke my arse recently from slipping over. We still visit regularly though, I just make sure I tread very carefully from now on!
So inspiring to see this community run slipway complemented by the wonderful ticket office project, that's so welcoming to locals and visitors alike. Launched our small boat from Orkney here (23/6/21) and so impressed with the general friendliness, clean toilets and improvements to the slipway. A good slip at all states of the tide and free trailer parking nearby. A shining example of great community projects that also made us spend in the village shop too. I hope you are all as proud of your achievements as we were to use the facilities. Well done and all the very best for the future. Steve
