Center featuring local history exhibits & archives & a 6-level lookout tower with panoramic views.
It's nice to place to visit with children although it needs at least new wall painting.
This museum introduces the history of the city which involves a lot of mining and steel production. We loved the activities for kids such as painting. From the top of the tower you have a great view over the town.
Amazing. Wish I'd known about this place when my kids were younger. Took 2 x 9 years old today as seen it when passing..They loved the outdoor play area..a lot geared towards younger kids we thought but then we found loads that the girls could do. Stayed outside in the cold for nearly an hour. Great section indoor for younger kids and amazing displays and tower climb. I didn't know so many Olympians came from Motherwell. And they have crafts days so we'll be back. Loved the archives too..found out I have a famous ancestor..Abraham Lincoln no less..defo visit the archives and go into the computers..U might be surprised at what u find! ..oh and it all free
Very friendly and helpful staff. Had problems finding where several of my wife's family members had been buried back in 1894 and they were able to sort it out with relative ease and effort.
Great wee place to visit with younger children , has a play area outside and always host lots of activities for kids , staff seem really nice
Visited to see an exhibition of the work of Oscar Marzaroli, Italian born photographer "adopted "by Glasgow. Exhibition was free of charge. The staff member present was friendly and helpful when required, but operated discreetly in the background so as not to impair your enjoyment of the exceptional photography being displayed.
