This 12-acre park features a children's play area, skate park, basketball court, and tennis courts, as well as a sensory garden, woodland walk, and picnic areas.
Been coming to this park for the best part of 35 years at least. It's changed a lot over the years, has a tree at the top of the park known by most locals as Crows Nest, years ago you could climb this tree and relax in the branches at the top watching the world go by. These days, health and safety have, of course, gone mad, and they've cut the lower branches to stop people climbing this iconic tree. It's a lovely place to relax for some quiet time, they are always updating the children's play areas but for me it's all about the nostalgia.
This park is amazing I love to bring my scooter here in the summer and go on the pump track! I also love to bring my basketball and football here so I can go in the basketball/football court! Overall amazing place for kids and a place for everyone to enjoy!
This is an amazing little Park, with loads of activities for kids of all ages, including swings of all types, a small trampoline ( which sadly some have used as a bin?) There is a basketball court & skateboarding area. Sadly the one negative is that people park in the only available disabled bay. it's a luxury to be able to walk please use your legs while you still have them.
Good park, friendly people. Would be nice if some of the equipment was updated. I would love a skatepark and nets to be added to the football goals. I do enjoy the basketball/football court. There tends to be rubbish across the park so would be nice if the park was cleaned regularly. Still waiting on the new hut to be added, it's been about 4-5 months since removal of the previous one. so hopefully the new one is put up soon. Would recommend this park!
A very well laid out little park, something for all ages but obviously more set up for children. Swings and play equipment for toddlers and teens alike. A basketball court, goal posts for football and a couple of benches to sit down and enjoy the view. All in all a credit to the town.
Good quality park with facilities for younger children and older. The slyate / BMX track is cool too. The car park is constantly full, but plenty of parking nearby
