Northumberlandia is a unique piece of public art set in a 46 acre community park with free public access and 4 miles of footpaths on and around the landform. The stunning human landform sculpture is surrounded by greenspace and ponds with developing wildlife interest. The cafe and toilets are on the right as you enter the site through the main entrance and open daily. The site is open from dawn to dusk daily. The cafe and toilets are open daily 10:00-16:00 each day. Hot food stops at 15:00.
Beautiful and spectacular views. Good for walks and amusement when making sense of the lady of the north structure with friends or family. And there's a lovely coffee shop next to the car park area. Also close to public transport accessibility like bus stops.
We arrived and ate our picnic in the car park as we saw nothing to indicate that there were several lovely picnic benches through the wood at the start of the walks. We enjoyed trying to work out which part of the body we had climbed! I don't know if originally the mounds were numbered but it would improve the walks if this was to be done.
Nice area to visit and go for a walk around, good walk for all ability. Nice for kids as woodland area as well and cafe on site
Great place for a walk, dogs allowed nice little cafe seating inside and out, dog treats for sale at counter.
Really nice place for walks just 15 minutes away from Newcastle.Great view also!
Excellent choice of stop for a coffee and freshly made scone (with blackberries picked on site apparently). Great filter coffee. Brilliant service. Friendly lady serving. Very pleasant place to sit, amongst the trees. Will aim to pop back when in the area again to walk around the pretty cool 'world's largest landform' 'lady of the north'.
