Nyland Manor is a 14th-century medieval manor house situated in the heart of Kent, England. This historic estate boasts stunning architecture, beautifully landscaped gardens, and a rich history dating back to the 1300s. The manor's exterior features a striking combination of red brick and timber framing, while its interior showcases ornate wood paneling, grand fireplaces, and intricate stone carvings. Visitors can explore the manor's opulent rooms, including the grand hall, chapel, and solar, each filled with antique furnishings and artwork. The surrounding gardens offer a serene escape, with meandering paths, tranquil ponds, and vibrant flowerbeds.
Friendly hosts. Beautiful grounds. Lovely lakes. |Accommodation was excellent. All rooms en suite, all on one level with easy access. Well stocked kitchen for our needs.| We stayed in The Stables for one week, eight friends between 60 and 80. Plus one dog. |Great location.
Beautiful accommodation with many small touches to add to the luxury feel. Rachel is a very friendly and helpful host and she is happy to let guests share the wonderful gardens and grounds around the property. ||We all had very comfortable bedrooms, each with a small patio area. The kitchen is very well equipped and we were delighted to find ice in the freezer for our gin and tonics!! The welcome pack was also much appreciated. ||We loved our stay and would happily return for another get together with our friends in the future.
This was our second visit to the Stables and once again we had a lovely stay. For 8 eight friends the 4 spacious bedrooms all en-suite are perfect. The house is very comfortable and well equipped for self catering in the huge kitchen diner. One of our group is a wheelchair user and the space and accessibility of the Stables is excellent. The weather was good during our stay so we were also able to enjoy the lovely gardens. The owners are friendly and helpful and left us a generous welcome pack including delicious scones, jam and cream. Location is good for visiting the pretty Wells and it is possible to walk into Cheddar avoiding the main road. We would highly recommend the Stables for a comfortable, relaxing holiday with friends or family.
We had had to reschedule at the last minute our family gathering (six adults and a dog) but Rachel was very understanding. Everything here is on a grand scale : enormous bedrooms, spacious kitchen, big comfy lounge and ample grounds for walks with dogs. We arrived on a wet afternoon but the underfloor heating made everywhere nice and warm. The welcome pack was generous too. The luxury made for a happy and memorable weekend.
We had such a lovely stay last year that we came back again. With 4 large, luxury en-suite bedrooms, this is just perfect for a family get together. ||Lovely welcoming touches with a bottle of wine, cake, cheese and pickle!! Thank you!||Everything spotlessly clean. The super spacey kitchen is very well equipped. ||We enjoyed the snug lounge area in the evening with a roaring log fire. ||We will definitely come back again next year, God willing.
We stayed at The Stables as a party of 9. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable and has lovely decor. The hosts have added lots of little touches to make it really special, such as dog biscuits, coffee pods for the machine, hairdryers in all the rooms, the badminton set, and a large choice of board games. The kitchen was really well stocked with good quality crockery and cooking implements. Our children loved the wide variety of animals around the place, and being able to roam the large gardens in safety.||||The welcome pack was very welcome, with eggs laid by hens in the garden, and local bacon and farm milk. The cake didn't last long! The high standard of fixtures and fittings made our stay really enjoyable. Indoor and outdoor space has been really well thought out. This is a lovely place to stay, with lots going on nearby to entertain. We would definitely recommend.
