Playground and tearoom onsite. Dog Friendly in specific areas.
Our second visit today at Oak house. We bought our Australian cousin to experience this wonderful historical building. We had a guide who answered all our questions, the children enjoyed the play area while we enjoyed a lovely cup of tea. All the staff are so friendly and accommodating, an absolute credit to making our day special. What I can't get over is this place is free to enter which makes it accessible to everyone. In this world of high prices this is a place parents can take their children, learn about out local history, play and experience lovely surroundings without having to break the bank, it's so lovely for all the community. Thank you!
Lovely little piece of history tucked away in the suburbs. Parking was a little difficult as it was a busy day. Also tea room is cash only. When entry is free for events I always try to support a venue by only having drinks or food from them, but I don't carry cash. So had to leave early in order to get a drink as it was a really hot day. I will go back when the restoration work is complete. In the meantime the 3D tour is pretty good.
Nice few hours spent here. I love history and seeing how different the past was. Kids had fun and enjoyed the archery that was on too.
One of West Bromwich's hidden gems. Beautifully restored and maintained. Well planted, pollinator friendly planting, children's play are, family friendly.
It was OK. There wasn't much crafting but the kids enjoyed it. The outdoor games were fun. Good on the staff for trying to get donations to keep the place going!!
Visited the Santa at oak house. Brilliant setup and experience for our 5 year old. Oak house was as wonderful as it was when I was a child 30 odd years ago.
