Great play area for kids and a nice walk through the woods with a field in the middle. Will be good for walking dogs! There's also a little refreshment hut with a good selection of ice cream flavours!
A regular visitor to Oakwell Hall and Park with my dog as some fantastic walks and great open spaces to throw a ball.
Such a lovely place to take the dog. Loads of different routes. The cafe and shop are nice too, for a quick drink and an icecream. Lots of parking on site too and there's loads of places to stop too going around
Beautiful place. Busy but plenty of parking spaces. Lots of trails and paths, everyone can find something suitable for them. Fantastic place to walk a dog. Cafe, toilets, dozens of benches and picnic tables.
I visited today with 5 children, during the summer holidays. It was very busy, but managed to get parked in the overflow carpark. This is not wheelchair friendly but the other two car parks are. The shop, and gallery area are all suitably accessible . We did not go in them. The toilets are clean and stocked well there is also a disabled and baby change in these facilities. The floor was a little muddy but outside was muddy. We were not visiting the hall or gardens today, there was a trail going on in the gardens, at a cost of a PS1 per trail sheet . We walked down towards the stream, there are two ways one which is accessible , and one with stair's. The children had great fun exploring the pathways and playing in the stream. We sat at one of the many picnic benches and ate our lunch. We then had a run around the parklands playing football and frisbee . There are lots of dog walkers, so it is a great place for all the family and dogs to visit. All the children were very excited to go in the woodland play ground, they enjoyed building dens and playing on the slide and monkey bars. There is some broken equipment that has not been replaced for a long time now . There is also a fenced of playground with the usual swings , roundabouts and climbing frames. There is another larger car park down near the visitor center too. We did not go inside the visitor center but we did enjoy an ice cream and a cuppa. PS12.40 for 4 cones and a tea. There are two toilets that are clean and accessible with baby change.
Great place to go for an hour or so's walk. Friendly walkers and dogs. The Hall is worth a visit. Not expensive to go in. Cafes and free toilets at both car parks. Gift shop near the hall. Children's play area by bottom car park. Accessible tarmac path from the bottom to the top- bit of a climb if you are pushing a wheelchair or buggy. Plenty of places to picnic.
