Millom Rock Park. Amazing views of Duddon estuary, hills of the Lake district and Black Coombe and millom. Nice easy adventure.
We walked along the lane from Po House, when you leave the lane and walk up towards the telecommunication mast keep to the left of the compound and you will find a way point to cross over the stone wall. Walk through the wooded area and you will reach the observation point.
A great walk up the the platform from Brockwood Hall however when you get to spunkam do not go straight on!! Turn left and go up through the quarry
Road very narrow and the path leading upto area was gated off. No parking below, so don't know really know what was there.
Theres big gaps going up the stairs which can be scary if you are scared of hights as if you miss step you can fall through. But the view is amazing up there
After a lovely, moderately challenging walk through the woodlands here, you are rewarded with brilliant, unobstructed views across the duddon estuary and local fells from this observation platform.
