Sharron & I visited Offenham Touring Park this weekend 30th August for a few nights. We decided to stay local & we were glad we did. Lovely site. Really good size pitches. Clean toilet & shower block. Wardens are friendly & helpful. Had a lunch at the Fish & Anchor Pub. Really good food & great choice of beer. Lovely walks & well worth the money. Sharron & I will definitely be returning. Lovely weekend away & sunshine. Chris Dare
We booked two nights on this site. A day into our stay we booked a third night |By far one of the best sites we've stayed on. The layout was perfect, the hardstanding pitches were huge, plenty of room for big Motorhomes and caravan and car. |The Wardens were so friendly and helpful, they kept the site clean and grass mowed regularly, they clearly worked hard. |Also a pub on the edge of the site with access through a gate on the site. |Thank you wardens for making our stay so good.
Booked a weekend at the campsite which appears to mostly be used by longterm caravans as some have seasonal pitches. Shower/toilet block is clean and pleasant although you have to use a code to get in everytime which seems somewhat excessive and annoying when you're in the middle of the night. I stayed and unfortunately slept very poorly due to surrounding noise. It's situated on a very busy main road, lots of traffic at all hours. It's also on a corner so you find loud/powerful vehicles having to downshift to get around and accelerate away. There is also a dog kennel as a neighbour with the dogs barking at all hours. The pub was nice enough with pleasant food but also hosts music/karaoke late into the night which is somewhat unpleasant and disruptive. Although the site states to be quite, we had at least 2 caravans leaving for 7 am which meant they were particularly noisy and disruptive at 6am! (Following the awful attempts at singing until the late hours the night before). Limited options for activities/pubs/shops/ general things to do within walking/cycling distance. Wouldn't return, especially for the cost!
This is a nice campsite that is behind a nice pub. Unfortunately, the owners have decided to charge extras for everything. Upon arrival I erected a storage tent next to our motorhome to store table, chairs and BBQ overnight, only for the warden to come over saying it was not a storage text, it was a gazebo and I had to pay PS5 per night. Hence, I took it down, cancelled our table for four in the pub and did not use the pub for our entire stay. If the owners think all the little charges they make will raise revenue then surely what they lost from us for an evening meal in the pub alone proves they are wrong.
We had a one night stop over and paid PS5 the next day to stay all day. Very flexible. Super site. We had the dish of the day, fish and chips for dinner at the pub which was really tasty. They had a good choice of ales and a lovely Pinot blush. Very tidy, pleasant helpful staff. Nice walks around.
Just spent a lovely weekend at this site was very impressed, so much so that I'm booking to go back again the end of the month for longer.. would have given 5 stars but the only one problem I had was that the electric point was so far away that my long lead didnt reach, never had this problem before. Luckily enough the warden had a spare cable that I was able to use as an extension noticed it was just the one pitch I was on that was so far from electrics.. toilets showers was really good and clean..
