Ohinetahi, a garden of international significance. Open daily 10am - 4pm September through end of March. A place of magical beauty with a profound sense of peace and tranquility. Celebrated for over 1.25 hectares of garden, Ohinetahi is also home to the Pavilion event space, two galleries, sculptures and woodland trails, and a significant 19th century homestead. Ohinetahi is a gorgeous private venue, ideal for weddings, celebrations and corporate events.
A world class garden that combines sculpture, architecture, formal plantings, colour, modern art and wild nature into a cohesive whole. The culmination of 45 years work by the architect knight, now gifted to Aoteroa by trust m
Glorious design and exceptional maintenance make this an absolutely perfect stop on a tour through the area. Few gardens can match the site with its views of the mountains and bay from one end to the other
Absolutely beautiful Would have stay there and explore the whole day, but had to leave to get lunch. So will definitely go back again.
Most beautiful gardens in the area with incredible views of the water. If you're lucky you'll find all kinds of birds including bell birds and kingfishers. Also an incredible place for getting married.
Perfect spot for a wedding. Thank you so much to Ross for all your help and for being so accomodating. Such a hidden gem and well worth a visit. The views are stunning, the garden is gorgeous. All our wedding photos were great because of such a lovely backdrop. Thank you
We hadn't even spent 5 minutes at Ohinetahi before we knew it was the perfect spot for our wedding. And it was! It just ticked all of our boxes (including affordability!). The grounds and surrounds are absolutely stunning, and the manager and groundskeeper were easy to deal with. Perfect spot for great photo's too! Photo credit @inviewphotography
