This 17th-century barn in the Cotswolds region of England has been beautifully restored and now serves as a unique event venue. The rustic charm of the original building has been preserved, with exposed stone walls, wooden beams, and a vast open space. Large windows and glass doors allow natural light to flood in, illuminating the space and offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The barn's tranquil atmosphere makes it an ideal setting for weddings, parties, and corporate events.
Great, very friendly and lovely place to start your Pennine Way walk. Highly recommend it. Fabulous landlord Mark and landlady, Theresa. Collected form Edale station with our cases as start of walk. Mark showed us the village and start of Pennine Way and the pub for our dinner that night. Great village.|Mark then drove us to Ollerbrook- lovely long driveway, so NO road noise- peaceful++ Ollerbrook is a fabulous building with oak beams as converted barn. Quiet fridge in room with our vegan oat mylk- we are vegan to try to help climate change and for our health. Great vegan breakfast.|When my husband had a health problem overnight, altering our planned walk, Mark was very helpful.
Mark and Theresa helped me to surprise my parents who were walking and staying with them as part of a 6 month walk, we booked two rooms and both were excellent value and high quality. Very comfortable beds, great showers and amenities, lovely breakfast. They are very accommodating, really helpful and very friendly. It's a short ten minute walk to Edale with pubs and a cafe if you're looking for an evening meal. Would strongly recommend and would stay again.
I've stayed here a few times now, partly because Mark & Teresa are so kind and welcoming, partly because I love Ollerbrook Barn. If you want chic and gold plated bathtaps look elsewhere. But if you want a good solid building with a character that suits its surroundings perfectly and is still comfortable and warm (and has good wifi!) then look no further.|Breakfasts are brilliant; and the hosts will do anything for you. Understandably, they are not high tech so I recommend a telephone call (remember them?!) in good time beforehand to sort out any details such as a station pickup... the Barn has two footpaths that lead directly either to the station, or to the Nag's Head .. fine if on foot, or with a rucksack, more tricky perhaps with a big suitcase. By road there is a narrow lane, thankfully not busy, look at google maps to be sure you pick the right one and don't miss the turn.|Highly recommended. would give it six stars if I could
Thank you so much, Mark & Theresa. We had a great nights sleep- a fabulous outlook. Great breakfast and really enjoyed our packed lunch. Thanks for providing us a place to rest.
Lovely friendly hosts. Beautiful location with a stunning view. Good quality room. The breakfast was excellent. All for a very good price. Ideal for starting the Pennine Way and exploring the countryside nearby. Few minutes walk from the Edale pubs and station.
We stayed here the night before we started the Pennine way. Lovely setting with views all around. Within easy walking distance of both Edale pubs and of course the start of the Pennine way. Nice comfy room with large ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower. Mark pointed out the footpath to cut through to the start of the Pennine way the evening before we started our hike. Breakfast was good as was the packed lunch we ordered. It is walkable easily from the station except if you have luggage as the road becomes a footpath with a stile to negotiate! On arrival Mark said he would have picked up up from the station. The holiday company who had booked this had not made us aware of this fact - so it would be worth speaking to Mark at Ollerbrook Barn before arrival to see if he would be able to meet you on arrival at the station as well (There were no taxi's available when we arrived).
