Orlestone Forest is a sprawling woodland area in Kent, England, covering over 1,000 acres of rolling hills, valleys, and scenic vistas. The forest is dominated by oak, beech, and birch trees, with a carpet of bluebells, wild garlic, and ferns covering the forest floor in spring. Several walking trails, including the North Downs Way, crisscross the forest, offering opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horse riding. The forest is also home to a variety of wildlife, including fallow deer, foxes, and numerous bird species.
Height restriction car park... shame. The forest path are good. Wellies needed in the heavy rain. Beautiful spring green colours on May day.

Wow what an amazing place! Found this place by chance whilst visiting the area. So blown away. The amount of fungi and mushroom was amazing and so fun to go hunting for. The more you look, the more you come across. Great for mushroom lovers. Great for any foragers or nature lovers. Just a beautiful scene from every angle. The moss was like a soft green blanket covering everywhere. Great for dog walking. Free parking area.
Lovely place for a walk, worth wearing wellies as the tracks are pretty muddy due to the ongoing forestry work
Various routes and trails to take, some larger wider paths with lots of smaller trails leading off of them. We ended up walking through a lot of woods this time & next time plan to follow the grassier path routes. Good for dog and child walking-as previous reviews mention there is the odd bit of dog mess but i didn't actually see much compared to other places i have been. Lots of butterflies around when we were there, and when coming back to the car park spotted a picnic bench so potential for some sunny picnics!
Lovely peaceful walk. Lots of people with dogs here.
