Orrell Water Park is a popular water park located in Wigan, Greater Manchester, England. The park features a range of indoor and outdoor water slides, including the Master Blaster, a water coaster that propels riders uphill, and the Space Bowl, a slide that sends riders swirling around a giant bowl. Other attractions include a wave pool, a lazy river, and a dedicated kids' play area with interactive water features. The park also offers a variety of facilities, including a cafe, a bar, and a sunbathing area.
Lovely place to come for a walk or to chill out for a bit. It was popular when I visited, but wasn't too busy such that you could still walk around and find empty benches (though it was a bitter January day, so I can imagine during summer this location may be very busy). Plenty of ducks and geese to feed (please research food that is good for them - no bread!). It is very easy to get here from the railway station, though there is also a small car park available.
Such a chilled out place by the water ..great place to take the kids or have a strole and just chill, shame the tea room is no longer active. This place is desperate to have a tea room a place to relax and sit and chill with a tea or coffee... .
Lovely walk around the lakes and woods. Easy under foot.
Beautiful The path around the first lake could do with being a little wider. Plenty of parking spaces
A nice walk around two lakes. Be careful with the young ones as it's easy to enter the water in places Some of the paths are rough but passable with a manual wheelchair if someone is pushing or a child's stroller. Great for dogs
Loved this place, we've never been before and it's right on our doorstep. We bought ice creams from the cafe as my grandson wanted one, they were so good. We picked some BlackBerries and cooking apples from the hidden orchard and I made a pie the day after. There a park there also which my grandson enjoyed. The lake is lovely, you can buy a bag of seed from the cafe for PS1 to feed the ducks on the lake.
