Its stunning architecture features a mixture of Gothic and Romanesque styles, with a striking façade, pointed arches, and a beautiful rose window. The chapel's interior is adorned with intricate stone carvings, ornate tombs, and stunning stained-glass windows, creating a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere.

Beautiful Chapel PPE on Sunday between 2-4pm between June & October
Roman Catholic chapel in honour of the martyrs. The chapel is a Grade I listed building, which stands not far from the railway line, a short distance west of the station. A pilgrimage takes place every year in July. Lovely inside. Original wooden beams and carvings are well worth seeing.
Roman Catholic shrine dedicated to the Padley Martyrs, two priest's Robert Ludlum and Nicholas Garlick... The former manor house belonging to the recusant Fitzherbert family, who hid the two priest's during the reformation, we're captured here in 1588, tried and executed in Derby... The bridge chapel on St Mary's bridge in Derby was the site of execution, you can also gain access to that ancient traveller's Chapel at certain times as well... The Roman Catholic diocese of Nottingham and diocese of Hallam hold annual pilgrimage and mass here in July... This is a very special spiritual and holy place of prayer dedicated to them... Have been here many time's as a child with family and during the pilgrimage with St Joseph's and St Mary's RC parishes in Derby!!
Lovely little ruin to wander around.
