A busy and vibrant pier, a rare thing these days it seems. A large amusement arcade dominates with plenty of varied slot and arcade machines. People with armfuls of tickets showing that prizes are there to be won in this colourful and popular attraction. At the far end there is a dinosaur park which is very well maintained and with good quality dinosaur models from tiny to huge. Try your hand at putting or sit in the massive deck chairs - a good photo op. It's free to use the pier and the views across the water towards the town are a delight.
Paington Pier is the icon of the English Riviera and an important point on the 630 miles long South West Coast Path. Paignton Pier was first opened to the public in June 1879. Since then, it has survived millions of visitors, a fire in 1919 and the Second World War. Today Paignton Pier offers fun for all the family every day of the year with amusements, trampolines, mega slides, bowling, carousel rides, Jurassic World mini golf, cafe, ice creams, shops and much more. Dogs are also welcome on a lead. And one more thing... watch out for the seagulls that are just waiting to steal your food
A super fun filled place for the whole family everything from food to casino machines for the adults clean and tidy and a miniature golf course with Jurassic features for family to play each other . Well worth visiting.
There are so many games here in the arcades. Not too hot either. You also get some decent prizes for your tickets too. Had great fun just mind the seagulls they WILL pinch your ice-cream and they don't care who they hurt lol
**Ignore the Google opening hours** The pier is open till around 11pm not 9pm that is stated on Google. Missed out on more visits due to not knowing until my last night. Great pier, very clean and probably my favourite that I have visited. Plenty of decent arcade machines and great prices to actually play them. Food kiosks were clean and staff very friendly. Prices here again were very affordable. Lovely view from the pier where you can view the lights of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham.
Good selection of arcade machines which give prizes and tickets. Also has VR experiences. Great little pier.
