Always found it clean. You can walk as far as you like but it's three miles to Burry Port and a marina. The Pavilion Cafe is another great stop on the way for cooked food or snacks. On a sunny day the path is in sunshine all day.

The tide goes out a good way for walks on the sands, and when the light is right the reflections can be captivating. When the tide is high, and then sun is setting on the horizon the sunset and sun rises can be quite something. I use this place for wedding photography as the backdrop is spectacular.

Love going for a wander down one of the 'local' beaches, when we visit my mum in Felinfoel. I've hardly ever seen the tide in though, it's always out and miles and miles of golden, and sinky in some places, sand is revealed.
