We had a fantastic visit and would highly recommend it. The gardens are beautiful, plus there were things here to keep our teenagers entertained too, we particularly enjoyed trying to crack the maze puzzle. The people in the house were very welcoming and knowledgeable, plus we enjoyed visiting the nearby church too. There's almost too much to fully take in in a single afternoon and would definitely come back. We also sampled the cafe, which had a good selection of cakes. We booked and paid for our tickets online. It'd be great if there was a way to fast track people that had prepaid, as we had to wait a little while before gaining entry, but it wasn't a big issue at all. The gentleman in the kiosk was very helpful. Being dog friendly was a huge plus for us.
My family and me can highly recommend visiting Parham House and Gardens. The mansion and gardens are family-owned and you can tell that the owners have put a lot of love and passion into it. We will definitely come back to visit! If you're planning your visit, I would recommend checking the times on the website as Parham house is not open every day (understandably so!)
Lovely mellow old house in a deer park. It has been thoughtfully restored and items added in keeping with the age of the house, by the Pearson family. Very interesting visit. The gardens are well worth a walk round. A special mention for Jeanette in the gift shop, who looked after my husband's mobility scooter while we went round the house. As the staircases are wide, with shallow steps, he was able to go up albeit very slowly
Didn't visit the house as we were early and the House doesn't open till 2.00 pm, but the Gardens are beautiful and so is the Church there is so much history attached to it. Will definitely be going back to visit the House.
Beautiful house and gardens made even better coming on a warm sunny day. The gardens were beautiful to walk around and opened at 12. The cafe was nice, food was lovely and not too overpriced. I would say I think the portions were small. There's a lovely lake in the gardens, can't walk around it but can walk a very small bit of it. Plenty of seating areas, picnic tables and bins. The church was amazing, very beautiful inside. The house itself is on three floors and a bit to see. The paintings were so beautiful. My issue is that there is nothing telling you what anything is anywhere, not outside or inside which for me I think that's poor. I don't think it was worth the money, I can get into national trust with my membership and see and read about what's there. Other than that, beautiful place to visit
