A large, circular arrangement of 30 massive stones, some weighing as much as 50 tons, surrounded by earthworks that form a ceremonial enclosure, with the largest stones, known as the sarsens, forming a circle around smaller, more delicate stones, known as the bluestones, creating a sense of mystery and wonder.
