Beautiful place to walk the Gloucester & Sharpness canal from, with free car parking, to visit the Black Shed cafe and The Tudor Arms pub, which are all alongside the automated swing bridge. Lovely views along the canal, nature & heritage information boards and seating where can take in the scenic surroundings. Wonderful place to visit.
A really very nice spot on the canal, with a pub, and some good walking country.
There is a free car park not far from the bridge, a beautiful walk along the canal. You can walk or cycle all the way into Gloucester from there, although it is a little far to walk. There is a pub and cafe near the bridge and also a campsite, which is very nice to stay on and of course there is Slimbridge WWT which is a great day out for adults and children. Overall a beautiful place and definitely worth a visit.
Lovely, peaceful amble along towpath of the Gloucester and Sharpness canal. Lovely calm setting with lots of lovely canal boats dotted along the banks. Nice pub the Tudor Arms. Ideal for a leisurely drink or a tasty meal. Friendly staff.
