Set on the edge of the Staffordshire Peak District; Peak Wildlife Park offers a truly unique and immersive animal experience. Its large walkthrough exhibits allow you to come face to face with exotic and endangered animals from across three continents. Whether you love lemurs, have a passion for polar bears, or want to waddle with penguins, the park has something for you!
For a small park there is plenty to look at. All the animals are well cared for and particular favourites were the two young polar bears. Very entertaining to watch. The talks by the keepers were very interesting. The walk throughs were also good with the goats, sheep, lemurs, penguins and wallabies. Plenty of parking, and picnic areas. A good cafe with prices you would expect from a place like this. Well worth a visit.
It was a bright and sunny day.. maybe that's why the animals were resting in shade?.. but the penguins and polar bears were the only saving grace, although not sure how the poor polar bears were faring in the sweltering heat, I was expecting them in an enclosed air conditioned environment. Was heart wrenching to see them there out of their natural habitat.. such magnificent creatures.. the ice cream was nice though..!
Great wildlife park, when we went wasn't busy animals were close up and looked healthy and relaxed. Lots of boards explaining each species. Coffee shops and shops on site and play area foe the children. Would definitely recommend. Lovely place
This place is excellent, the size of the enclosures are beautiful and you can see the animals are extremely well cared for! Plenty for little kids to see and do throughout the day! The wallaby, lemur and penguin walkthroughs are really lovely too and especially nice to see some very happy polar bears!
Absolute amazing little wildlife park. Love the fact you can get up and close to so many animals inside the enclosures. I will definitely be back with the children next year. Lots to see and do
Our family have thoroughly enjoyed every visit we've made to Peak Wildlife. This most recent visit included an animal experience with the tapirs George and Tia. Will was our keeper and guide for the experience and he was absolutely brilliant with the kids and extremely knowledgeable. He shared lots of interesting facts about tapirs and he was very patient and responsive to our questions. This was one of many animal experiences we have participated in and they have always been a joy. It is clear the animals are very well looked after, in an environment that is significantly welfare-focused and with staff that are caring, knowledgeable and friendly. It's one of our favourite places to visit.
