Landscaped park with gardens around a lake, with Japanese statues, pagoda and replica boat battles.
I always enjoy a walk around the park, it brings back childhood memories! It's worth watching the naval warfare show if it is taking place, and a walk to the Japanese garden at the top of the island is nice. The boat hire is fun and reasonably priced.
Lovely park which seems to put on a lot of events for the public. There is a good community vibe aswell as welcoming to tourists. There is a large pond which you can rent pedal boats and rowing boats very cheaply. The pond itself is very scenic and pretty with lots of geese and ducks. There is also mini golf within the park and a cafe. Great for a wander around or to check out one of the events.
Lovely park with disc parking outside. Lots of chairs and beautiful borders. Went on pedalo dragon around lake 2x. Lovely valley walk. They work hard to keep it nice. Island in centre of lake is interesting. Battle scenes on water in July.
Went for the Naval Warfare show and a walk around. The show is great. The gentleman who narrates is very engaging and entertaining for adults and children. Get there early for a good seat especially during holidays or weekends. We were there 50 mins before start time and it was already packed. My 6 yr old absolutely loved it. Little bit of history and a great show. Paid PS22 I think for 4 adults and a child. Show was 30 mins. Well worth it. Park is nice to walk around with other things to do as well. Well maintained. Parking is a nightmare! There are a couple of car parks surrounding the park but as with everywhere in the UK during summer they fill up quick so it's street parking where you can.
Had a grand afternoon in this fantastic park. Love the Chinese aspects, the pagoda. The bridge and the fountain/water feature. We all threw money at the washing well bell and made a wish. We saw some of the grey squirrels too. A fun half hour on the water in a dragon pedal boat topped it off. If you're in Scarborough, it's definitely worth a visit.
Lovely place for a wander with the family. Cafe was reasonably priced but long wait for food (over half an hour). Had toilets but they were not the best. Unfortunately the display was cancelled due to illness so cannot pass comment on that
