This 54-acre park features a large lake, walking trails, and plenty of green space for picnics and relaxation. The Coppice, a wooded area within the park, offers a tranquil atmosphere and scenic views. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including fishing, boating, and birdwatching. The park is also home to a playground, sports facilities, and a cafe serving refreshments.
Absolutely love it up on the Coppice .....plenty of litter bins and people seem to use them so nice and tidy. Stunning in the autumn with all the mixture of deciduous and evergreen trees. A lot of new paths being installed winter 2022.
Fab dog walk this aft with our two. Off lead on the Coppice is great as there's no livestock to worry about and it's great woodland. Quite busy so you don't feel isolated. Be prepared for a steep climb tho, although there are plenty of way point benches to rest on if you need. Once up top, it's a bit moorland without the sheep so it's a relaxed wander with the dogs. Parking is via Peel Park road, off burnley Rd. Small car park but not usually too full
Lovely place, great views and lots hidden features like lodges and water features. There is a park for children, also a bowling green as you walk up to the coppice, also a great pub the Peel Park with a large beer garden at the back.
