An interesting castle to have a wander around, it is quite big with lots of rooms inside and there's other buildings on the grounds to explore too. Beautiful views. The cafe is really good.
A wonderful castle! Lots to explore and made even more special by the Warwick Warriors knights display! We had a superb day out! Hilarity from Tom Fool which my kids adored (check him out on insta: @tomfooljester). English Heritage site so free if you are a member. We had loads of parking available too and arrived after it had opened. All in all a really fun day at the castle and lots of smiles and laughs had!
I've been to a few castles on our holidays as a family, but this one was completely different. No small or cramped buildings but lots of space within the grounds, a fair bit of seating at the food concessions and lots of interesting facts to read about around the site. The display by the falconry team was good and the battle reenactment was good. Entertaining for the younger children and colourful. Lots of people brought picnics and their own seating (camping chairs) and camp rugs. Weather was good, which helped i would imagine that rainy days would put the mockers on the outside displays. This place i expect depends on the weather. We spent around 4hrs at the castle. The site has a very relaxing atmosphere about it. All in all a good afternoon out. And dog friendly as well.
Really enjoyed our visit to Pendennis Castle. We were lucky enough to be visiting on a day when English Heritage were hosting a separate event with medieval music, archery, tourneys and a jester performance by What a Palaver. Great day out, cool castle and grounds.
We love this place! We planned a day trip with our family who was visiting from abroad.Kids had a wonderful time running around the lush lawns and going through the history of the castle! Beautiful scenic views...will be coming back again...
We visited in the rain, lovely Castle and the grounds are very well kept, the half moon area is good too. I went up on the roof of the castle and you can see quite a way. Nice place.
