Pentire is an exceptionally beautiful headland with far reaching views and managed for wildlife. Overlooking Polzeath, a popular North Cornwall holiday destination, Pentire headland has been inhabited by humans since 4000BC but remains mostly undeveloped and a coastal escape for visitors. The remnants of Iron Age ramparts can be seen at the Rumps and the scars of lead and silver mining are etched over the headland. Our relationship with the land continues and today we are farming for the benefit of nature, supporting the abundance of wildflowers and a variety of wildlife and birds that have made Pentire their home. Accessible routes over the headland offer spectacular views of the coast and countryside.
Had a really nice walk around the coast path, beautiful scenery
Absolutely stunning part of the coastline, including tintagel where the great king Arthur's castle is.
We visited today and spent 3 hours walking all the way round. The views: Stunning, what more can I say. We saw so many different angles and just took in the views The coastal walk: Not for the faint hearted and I had a few wobbles but I carried on and took in the whole experience The cafe: Delicious food and so clean and tidy. The whole area was amazing. Toilets were clean, seating area fantastic and you can tell it was all really looked after. Fantastic day spent with my hubby on this beautiful walk.
An amazing walk with lovely views. We came early evening after lots of rain today and managed to dodge the showers! The Orchard garden with the sensory walkways were incredibly. Very well thought out and, as a wheelchair user, I felt very included. The seats at the end of the orchard had amazing views of the beach and sea. A beautiful place for a great walk and, as it was fairly breezy, it certainly blew the cobwebs away! The cafe, seating area and facilities block were very attractive buildings using natural materials of stone and wood. Very impressive area and extremely well maintained. Highly recommend a visit
Had an absolutely fantastic day out walking along the coastal path, there are some mind blowing views to take in. No litter on the trails and nature is just flourishing. We even did some Geocaching along the route to fill our day out and I would highly recommend if you know about them to go find the many that are along this path. If your looking for a pleasant walk or nice day out exploring this is the place, there are plenty of places to rest and it will not disappoint.
