3-acre park since 1897 with a children's play area & an aviary, plus tennis courts & a war memorial.
Great place to get mugged for peanuts ! Look out for friendly squirrels, and also robins apparently (hearsay). Trees are gorgeous, kids' games and adults' fitness equipment in good shape - a great family walk all year round.
Beautiful place for spending time on fresh air with children and animals. Now is full of flowers. Playground and a cage with parrots, you can also eat lunch at the table here, and there is an open cafe for tired parents.
The people,s. Park had a event on there and it was a very good day out there were plenty to do there and food and drink . l will definitely go next year.
Stopped by to see the budgies and spoke to one of the keepers who was very kind and informative and let me know that some of the birds are almost 30 years old!
What a lovely little park. Cute little building in the middle which had budgies and cockatiels in it. The Cafe was nice that was there, would be nice if it had more drinks options.
