Birmingham's BMX race track is found in this city park with a 5-km. walking route & a fishing lake.
1st visit to the revamped Alexander stadium, in over 40 yrs. Obviously the renovations for the commonwealth games were reinvigorating and the stadium is superb. However my one query is. Will it get the use that it so obviously deserves. I just wonder how many of those seats will be empty and I suppose time will tell.
Best place to relax and enjoy nature
I used to take the children to the play area at Perry Park 20 years ago but Birmingham City Council have destroyed the Park for the fruitless Commonwealth games, Birchfield Harriers have fallen out with their landlord, the whole park is fenced off with Harris fencing so you can't even walk across the park. In August 24 the Gipsies have made camp and yesterday a mob of West Indian gentlemen were parked on the verge playing loud music. Our once excellent facility has been ruined by the incompetent council
Really massive park with a kids play area and lots of football pitches. A river runs through it so there are lots of geese, ducks and swans to feed. Nice planted area and lots of trees, so the landscape changes with the seasons. The added bonus for me is you can get to One stop if you want some refreshments!
Very nice place to walk your dog play cricket and soccer I've got the chance to play soccer with fellow Ethiopians had a really good time I didn't see any bathrooms though.
It was our first time here, and we enjoyed it. Can't wait to come back again and again. Beautiful scenery
