A beautiful cathedral holding lots of well documented history. We visited during a school holiday when there was a monsters of the seas display on. The display was okay, it kept the grandson interested but it definitely wasn't worth PS10 an adult. If I was reviewing the monsters of the sea exhibition it would be lucky to get two stars, I'm reviewing the cathedral itself. Friendly staff, easy to get to, lovely and imposing inside, definitely worth a visit.

Visiting Peterborough Cathedral was a serene and surreal experience. The historical details and the hourly ringing of the bells added a magical touch. Surrounded by lush greenery, it's a peaceful haven right in the city center Tickets: None Weekdays: 10-5, Sunday: 12-3

Beautiful Cathedral with stunning exterior architecture and brilliant interior artwork, I was amazed, did spend some time in prayer, but got a little distracted with the the exhibition going on inside the cathedral, however it a must visit if you are in the town, lots of shops around and there is a big shopping centre close by

Steeped in centuries of history and architectural grandeur, Peterborough Cathedral stands as a timeless beacon of tranquility and serenity amidst the bustling cityscape. From its majestic facade to the hushed interiors, every corner of this sacred edifice exudes an aura of peace and calm, inviting visitors to pause, reflect, and immerse themselves in its timeless beauty. As one approaches the cathedral, its imposing silhouette commands attention, towering over the surrounding landscape with an air of quiet dignity. Yet, upon stepping inside, one is enveloped in a sense of profound stillness, where the cares of the world seem to fade away in the presence of such sacred majesty. The cathedral's interior is a study in sublime simplicity, with soaring arches and delicate stonework that speak to the skill and craftsmanship of generations past. Bathed in the soft glow of filtered sunlight, the nave beckons with its spaciousness, offering a sanctuary for quiet contemplation and introspection. Throughout the cathedral, the atmosphere remains hushed and reverent, punctuated only by the occasional whisper of footsteps or the distant echo of a choir's song. Here, amidst the ancient walls and weathered stone, visitors find solace in the stillness, finding respite from the noise and chaos of the outside world. For those seeking a moment of quiet reflection, the cathedral's cloisters provide a peaceful retreat, where one can wander in solitude amidst the tranquil beauty of the surrounding gardens. Here, amidst the fragrant blooms and gently swaying trees, the mind finds rest and the spirit finds renewal. In conclusion, Peterborough Cathedral stands as a timeless testament to the power of quietude and contemplation. Within its hallowed halls, amidst the whispers of centuries past, visitors find a sanctuary of peace and calm, inviting them to pause, reflect, and find solace in the beauty of the divine.

It was breathtaking! I legitimately stopped when I first saw the cathedral, I was just in awe. It's unreal in person. The details of the architecture, the history, the location. It was worth it. There's a lawn right upfront for visitors to sit in the grass, have lunch, read books, or just admire the building. The lawn is family and kid-friendly. The inside id the cathedral welcomes you with this high monumental ceiling and goes throughout the cathedral. The entrance has a box of donations but it's not mandatory. I donated PS5 because it was worth it. The welcoming committee was very friendly and welcoming. There's a small shop inside for souvenirs. They do hold church services but you have to look at their calendar. You can also light up candles for prayers in different sections of the building. If ever in Peterborough's surrounding areas, YOU MUST VISIT this treasure! I sat on one of the benches had my sandwich and just admired the architecture. It was a beautiful day

Wonderful cathedral in the City Center. I especially loved the idea of a big book having milestone details related to the cathedral at the entrance that enhances the beauty of the Cathedral overall. Also it is just within walkable distance from Train station. Overall well spent day in Peterborough.
