Scenic park featuring open spaces, woodlands & a paved pedestrian path along the river.
Regularly go to Petersham Nurseries for coffee/tea/cake. It's a beautiful environment with much more light than Aladdin's cave, but the same feeling that you might find a magic lamp among its treasures. And it sells plants.
A nice walking through the river Thames.
Great place for relaxing and walking.
Beautiful meadows, have a picnic amongst the cows
Great quiet walk. Despite the proximity to the River, these woods hold a charm in itself. Parts of it get flooded by the high tide, but you still can walk along the trails and get back to the Riverside walk. This flood plains are very interesting as they bring a host of different birds down, hunting, bathing, oblivious to the busy path with walkers and cyclists. Ideal spot for a picnic. Not so child friendly due to the terrain. Asked let's take out litter home.
Seemingly inconspicuous and unremarkable but a component of the sweeping view from Richmond Hill towards the Thames and historically referenced in notable paintings, literature and poetry - a view protected by Parliament. A pleasant stroll but take your time, there's no crowd expected here.
Good for kids
