This 154-hectare park features a mix of woodland, grassland, and scrub habitats, with a variety of wildlife including deer, foxes, and birds. The park has several walking trails, including the 10km Pex Hill Trail, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Visitors can also explore the park's woodland, which is home to several ancient trees, or visit the park's cafe and visitor centre. The park is also a popular spot for picnics, with several designated picnic areas and scenic views.
Fabulous and beautiful. A bit more information on the history of the quarry would be brilliant as a suggestion. The rubbish from visiters was a let down unfortunately. Kids loved the wildlife and spotting the different trees and birds not a place to go to if you are unsteady on your feet..
Such a beautiful country park to go for a sunset walk with family
Lovely place for a walk, there are no toilets or cafe or anything but if you want peace and quiet or a nice dog walk it's ideal. You meet alot of nice people walking round but car park is quite small so pick your time right because if sunny it's limited. Benches as you walk around.
Lovely walk on a sunny day ..
Great place to walk or just let the kids play in the trees. Rock climbing in the quarry if you know what you're doing. There are some lovely walks from Pex Hill into the village of Cronton. Quite a good spot for photography too!
Love taking the dog for a walk here although it is a fairly popular spot. Never very busy but you do see other walkers and not a large space. I always take my GSD down to the Quarry as on 1 exit so I can see if anyone is coming in but I've only ever seen someone else in there once. Good place for me to let her off the lead and throw a ball around.
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Hiking
