This pier in Colwyn, United Kingdom, stretches 140 meters into the Irish Sea, offering stunning views of the surrounding coastline. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk along the pier, taking in the fresh sea air and sounds of the waves crashing against the shore. The pier is also a popular spot for fishing, with many anglers trying their luck at catching a variety of species. At the pier's entrance, there's a charming cafe serving refreshments and snacks, making it an ideal spot to relax and unwind.
It's absolutely wonderful now it's finish and also the have re opened the road. Definitely worth a stop. I love the very beautiful railing around the pier
Awesome View. Enjoyed Sunrise, people are blessed to stay here may be more places we are yet to explore but really loved our stay during our trip.
A sadly truncated erection, that sits underwhelmingly back and away from the sea. The structure as is has been faithfully built to replicate the original, which had declined burnt, and had been allowed to run to ruin. After magnificent murmurations, the derelict pier allowed a safe home for starlings to roost overnight. They say that they intend to lengthen the structure, in the financial climate, we find ourselves in, in 2023 that project seems at best fanciful. Strange to say, they have built a fishing pier at the Old Colwyn end of the beach, combined the two structures might well have made perfect sense, but that no doubt would have been a political decision therefore sense would have had little or nothing to do with it.
Nice addition to the promenade. Pity it isn't a full-size pier.
This is a great attraction and much better than what was there before. Nice and simple and very well done.
Nice beach for day out in the hot summer day. A lot of space, nice soft sand, the sea is not 'running away ' too far. Also a lot of parking spaces, this is important Minuses. No food or drink around. There is nice restaurant on the beach but open only till 4pm weekdays and, also, no you cannot go there in bikini and flip-flops There was ice cream van but... this is definitely not enough. Also it is a little tricky place in the windy day, be ready that sand will be everywhere! Especially in your eyes. But, in general, it is ok place to go to catch some fresh sea air.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
