Pigneys Wood is a 13-hectare woodland area in Exmouth, Devon, England, featuring a mix of deciduous and evergreen trees, including oak, beech, and pine. The woodland floor is carpeted with bluebells in the spring and has a variety of wildlife, including birds, butterflies, and insects. A network of walking trails, including the Exmouth to Lympstone Way, crisscrosses the woodland, offering scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
Really lovely area, perfect for dog walking. Plenty of woodlands to walk through as well as open fields, spotted a deer also. There's a disused canal you can walk along which is really lovely. Very quiet area, decent sized car park (quite uneven though!) really enjoyed our visit here.
Went for a woodland walk the dogs. Nice mixture of woods and fields. Didn't notice the board to the left hand side of the car park which shows you potential walks to do but we just wandered aimlessly and enjoyed the walk. Saw an otter by the canal but didn't manage to get a picture and plenty of kestrels around. The car park is way to find from the post code but I have put a picture with what there words on for the exact location. Parking is for about 8/10 cars I reckon and seems popular with the locals.
We visited this during our stay in Norfolk . There are good pathways in the woods with variety of flora and fauna . The woods suddenly opens to an open field . At places it felt like the woods need a bit of maintenance by the local council as the paths disappeared due to overgrown shrubs and bushes . We tried to trace our path to the river but got lost due to lack of sign posts . Overall a good place for a quick walk
A beautiful old wood with some great history. The paths are well marked. You can see the old railway and the disused canal. Walks well signposted too.
Lovely small wood....lots of ticks in the long grassed area so make sure your dog is treated
Stopped here to give our dog a shady walk. Beautiful place, lots of paths. Parking and dog litter bin. Real little gem.
