Riverside metropolitan park with tennis courts, a playground, play center & open green spaces.
I took my son to participate at a football tournament at Pitshanger FC. Decent pitches for the kids, ample space. What let the club down were the washroom facilities, toilets were absolutely disgusting, flushes not working, facilities inside seemed quite dated. 3 stars are on the generous side.
On the face of it this is a lovely park - big enough to enjoy a leisurely walk, reasonable maintained walkways and other facilities such as cafe, tennis courts, etc. I have been here a number of times to walk a dog, who loves it but on occasions have been met with open drug taking away from the main areas and we have had an unfortunate incident with our dog ingesting what appeared to have been drugs requiring an emergency visit to a vet. Our dog has recovered thankfully. Be mindful if you too walk your dog here.
A good sized green space with a large children's play area. The park is generally well maintained and clean and includes a bowls club and tennis and football facilities within fenced areas. Pitshanger Park also benefits from the meandering Brent River and has a car parking area on its southern edge.
Nice park to chill . Nice playground for the kids. It has a zip line and a lot of other things to do . There was a kids club or something similar right next to the playground . The entrance is easy to find even if Google maps brought us like 50 meters away . Good all around.
Lovely park... gorgeous sites and steam, golf course also on the other side of road. Children's play park. Spacious and not crowded. Not easy to find parking though. Small roads and lots of parked cars. First time going with my partner. Would go again for sure.
A group of us as teenagers played in this park over 50 years ago. Last week we scattered the ashes of one of our group around an oak tree we used to sit near when whiling away our school holidays. The park holds lots of treasured memories for us and others from the group will join him in years to come. RIP Bob.
