A natural tidal pool located on the coast of Fife, Scotland, where the sea water is trapped in a circular depression in the rock, creating a calm and peaceful swimming spot, surrounded by rugged coastline and scenic views.
Pittenweem is a beautiful, seaside village on the east coast of Scotland. The Tidal Pool is a very popular attraction. There is a good selection of friendly and characterful cafes and independent shops. I can thoroughly recommend a visit.
This was my favourite of the three tidal pools . It's absolutely stunning location to swim . It was quite busy but everyone was very friendly. Ample car parking an a little hut that sells tea coffee hot chocolate
First time swimming in a tidal pool. Great pool not to rocky with plenty of sand at your feet. Doesn't get to deep to quickly.i would highly recommend this to anyone.
Lovely size, big area to sit and watch/get changed. Toilets, play area and parking on site
There is no fee, except to park more than 2 hours at the Pittenweem car park. Great safe place to swim at low tide. High tide, you can not see the sides of the pool so it's like open water swimming. Areas to picnic and there is beach there. Not suitable for disabled access as lots of steps.
Really nice place! Handy free parking nearby (2hours free)
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Good for kids
