Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery is a uniquely elegant historic house designed in 1800 by Sir John Soane for his family. It is set alongside a contemporary art gallery within beautiful Regency-styled Ealing Green and Walpole Park. Only an eight-minute walk from Ealing Broadway Station.
Georgian house by Architect John Sloan. Not a large house, and about 10 rooms are open to public. Some furniture and wall decorations. Nice conservatory overlooking garden. Next door is exhibition rooms, toilets, cafe etc.
Really calm and cute spot to relax and learn about the architecture of the building and the background story. Lots of art displayed and lovely for interior design. Friendly and informative staff
Interesting architecture although nowhere near the "Soane" experience of the house museum in Lincoln Fields. The house hosts art shows with mixed success. Some of the freestanding spotlights shown into visitors faces making things difficult to see. I wish the house more closely resembled what it must have looked like in Soane's lifetime.
Pitzhanger Manor- Ealing , London We held our civil wedding ceremony at Pitzhanger Manor on 27th January 2024. I had grown up in Ealing, and we had lived and raised our family in Ealing green and Northfields for over 30 years, so we were delighted to find that the manor was one of the civil wedding venues. It felt very familiar and close to our hearts. The events manager, Zoe, and her team on the day, could not have been more lovely, helpful and accommodating throughout. On the day, as guests entered the iron gates , strolled up the path and stepped through the huge glass doors to the Drawing room they were struck by the beauty of the building, and the gardens around it. The team had set the drawing room up with our garlands of flowers , and created an aisle with their own pretty chairs. They welcomed guests, played music and served champagne, and by the time we arrived everyone was already having a great time! The ceremony was conducted by two wonderful registrars who managed to keep us focused and set a fine balance between solemnity and lightheartedness. We walked up and back down the aisle to thunderous applause, whoops and cheers. Fabulous! The staff organised a confetti throwing on the gravel path outside, where my favourite pictures were taken of us with all the guests, the house, gardens and rose petal confetti! The whole experience was truly joyful for us and could not have been more special. So We would highly recommend Pitzhanger Manor as a wedding venue, especially for local couples. Our heartfelt thanks to Zoe and the team, and to Nicky and Sarah the registrars. Naomi and Steve
I Visited with my kid "mini-makers" event. My child was totally disappointed. The event's price was ~10PS. And Despite the advertising , artists were not supporting and guiding the children at all and all of the painting area was filled up, living no room for new drawings. I want my money back. We spent 10 mins and left this place
The buildings are amazing and the architecture and interiors are pretty much what I love. Attached some photos I took.
