Open every day 10am to 5pm. Dog very welcome. Card or cash payment, 16+ are PS5, 15 and below are free. 30 acres of parkland with tranquil lakeside walks, dramatic Millstone Grit rock formations. Good for walking, dog friendly, toilet. Limited access for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Lovely place for a walk. PS5 pee adult and kids under 16 free so a tenner for a car full with free parking is good value.
Website needs updating. Actually opens from 9am not 10 or 11. Well worth a visit as a beautiful place and weird rock formations around a nice lake. You can buy limited snacks and drinks and there is one portaloo
A hidden gem in the Yorkshire hinterland! The idyllic rocks at Plumpton are a sight to behold. Take your camera and go in a mini adventure spotting wildlife and birds in this eclectic mix of water, rock and greenery. Alleyways carved by nature between the huge rocks are a must see.
Stunning place we would have loved to spend more time there, the sight said open every day through Aug but we got asked to leave because it was closed. This is the only reason for 3 stars, we did really the short time we spent there so was a shame.
Great hidden gem. Loads of rocks to climb and explore. PS5 per adult, children under 16 free (Aug '24).
Such a beautiful place for a picnic, this natural nature reserve is a wonderful beautiful spot which it great for children and big children to explore. It's great to see no litter about or any poo bags. The only thing that lets it down is the PS5 per adult, it's too expensive. It should be PS5 per car really as it's just a walk. I also wish the lake was in use and you could hire small boats out or even i could just paddle board on there. Now that would be worth PS6 per adult :)
