A network of tunnels and caverns beneath Alexander Pope's 18th-century villa in Twickenham, Surrey, featuring ornate decorations, shells, and glittering crystals, showcasing the poet's fascination with nature and his own creative expression.
Clueless, apathetic staff, very expensive beer. We went for a fat burger (no great culinary feat eh?), but we're told that we'd have to wait 40 minutes, "because of all these people". The interior was deserted! and there were plenty of tables outside. The spirit of Ealing Comedy cinema is alive and well in Teddington. Too hilarious
My wife and I had our small wedding reception at the Pope's Grotto on the 15th of October 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic with the 15 guests allowed. Sorry this is a late review but just wanted to pass on our thanks to all of the staff who helped make our day very special. Best wishes Paul and Helen
First time out after lockdown. A glorious day for coffee with friends. Well looked after by staff. Considered getting a snack lunch so had a look at the menu but we all decided to give it a miss this time and return another time for lunch.
We had the roast dinner which was only average. The Yorkshire puddings were so burnt that they incredible. The young staff were nice
Very interesting place, specially if you are local.
Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Overall nice place for lunch or drinks after work.
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
