We are an indoor woodland themed soft play centre based in Caerphilly open for general play, appropriate for ages 6 months up to 8/9 years old. There is plenty of room to run around in the magical world of Poppelwood with an interesting mix of soft play in a whimsical woodland setting. You'll feel as if you've stepped into a fairytale. In venue there is a cafe offering freshly ground coffee, teas and cold drinks. As well as a variety of cakes and biscuits. We serve hot and cold meals for both children and adults. Poppelwood specialises in children's parties with our party room resembling a Wizard's lodge, where the party children can witness our Wizard Drumdrad cast magical spells. Perfect for a one of a kind children's party.
quaint not too big, lovely wooden theme, very clean, new things, nice staff. not massive but nice. love the little wooden houses and play centres. better for smaller kids than teenagers.
A soft play with a lovely woodland theme and great concept, ideal for toddlers and under 5s. Unfortunately not all the floor is even though. The two play areas at either end of the building, with tables / cafe in the middle means hot drinks often left unattended on the low cafe tables (too low for the chairs). Children have to manoeuvre between the crowded chairs and tables to get from one play area out another. An accident waiting to happen with hot drinks on tables. Cafe sells a variety of drinks and snacks for adults and children. Staff seem unaware of hygiene rules though. When I queried with the member of staff why she wasn't wearing blue gloves when handling food, she replied she wasn't touching food. I had just seen her touching someone's toasty and using her bare hands to put crisps on someone's plate. No apologies, just said she didn't touch food, despite me saying I had seen her touch it. I stayed clear of food and just ordered a drink.
Excellent play centre for children. Facility is great and kids love it. Food is lovely too. Only little thing would be that it can get very busy in the weekends. It is understandable though.
Nice little place, doesn't have loads of stuff but easy to spend a couple of hours in. Shame the wizard hut and couple of the buildings are padlocked and not open. Booked online and pretty cheap for just PS6 a table (for 4 people including 1 child place), and get a 2 hour slot.
Probably the most magical warehouse in Caerphilly! It's quite a small space, and the slide wasn't well policed for safety during our visit, but a good time was had by our kids. The Santa experience at Christmas was nice, as was the hot chocolate.
I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews but after what I witnessed this morning I have to. Within 10 minutes of opening, a child was sick everywhere including on the floor on the table next to us. The poor little one looked extremely unwell and there was no doubt this was a bug of some sort (lots of it about at the moment!). I couldn't believe it that they were not asked to leave but actually verbally told by a member of staff it was ok to keep playing. Meanwhile the bag of sick clothes is just chilling on the table with lots of children running past. To then make things worse- the member of staff went straight to handling food. I left within 15 minutes not even bothering to collect my food as why risk it? Lots of money wasted as this is hardly a cheap soft play to visit. Staff need a serious refresh on health and safety regulations. Lost for words. If you're looking for a soft play there's plenty of others around where this wouldn't ever happen- cheaper too.
