The park also has a number of historic features, including a 16th-century mansion and a medieval motte-and-bailey castle.
A nice little village park, with a large play frame and slide, climbing wall and fireman's pole, in addition to some toddler swings and other general play equipment. It could do with some "grown up" swings to complement the equipment already there, and a smaller climbing frame and slide for small children. It would also be good in an entrance were put in through the fence onto the footpath which runs between the school and the playing field, so tha people coming from St Mary's Road didn't have to walk all the way down the path and back up through the Playing Field.
Went here with my daughter for a play. However couldn't find any play equipment. Asked a local and they said it was lovely until it was burnt down by local youths.
Great game of football in the sunshine, good facilities, limited parking but well organised
