A historical 200 year old fish larder, now a fun and educational tourist attraction in the picturesque village of Port Logan.
We had a wonderful time here. The Lady was super kind and friendly, she came and showed us all the different types of fish and fed them for us. Super interesting place. Reasonable price. Very pretty with all the amazing flowers tumbling down the walls.
A little gem of a place. Really unusual, fun and a great place to support. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in the area.
An amazing experience - the owner is clearly passionate and extremely knowledgeable, he really cares about his fish. Dogs allowed on leads. PS4 entrance fee. Owner feeds the fish in the huge pond so you can get a closer look - a Ray jumped up! - and then the owner takes you into the cave where he has dogfish, urchins, lobsters etc - all excellently cared for and some he has saved from death. Inside is a small gift shop and some more fish in the back - again the owner explained each fish, what they were, how they came about to be there etc. Very interesting and enjoyable experience. There is also a victorian ladies pool which is worth looking out on the way out - again lots of information about this from the owner (ww11 German pow built it). Excellent - highly recommend to anyone passing the area. Thanks to the owner, we really enjoyed visiting.
What an amazing little find. Great value for money, and the lovely guy who runs the place knows his stuff, is passionate about it and it shows
Loved it. So quirky and interesting. If you're after an Alton Towers type experience, then it's probably not for you, but if you like something utterly unique and the chance to see cod, plaice and turbot having a good old swim around, then go for it. It's great!
Quirky little place worth a visit if in the area, was originally a fish larder for the land owner with a female only bathing pool. Costs about PS4 for the tour, the caretaker will come down and feed the fish for a close up. They take card payments. The shop sells fishing equipment and a range of snacks and drinks no hot options. Free parking on site with picnic benches which are worth spending 10 minutes at as the views of the bay are spectacular. No wheel chair access and about 15 steps to go down which maybe slippy if wet it was dry when we went. Second time visited August 2024. Not as many fish this time as they have had an algae bloom so a few had to be released for their health. Still a goid few large fish to see.
On-site services
Wheelchair-accessible entrance
Good for kids
