Portgordon Community Trust's Community Garden has been made possible by Highlands and Islands Enterprise & Crown Estate Scotland with additional generous support provided by: Lennox Community Council, George Alexander Reid, G.C. Morrison & Son, Limehillock Quarries, and our many local volunteers.
We had a BBQ in the provided grills whilst watching the sun set. We also played boule or petanque on the pitch and enjoyed looking in the Shetland style Krubs. Nice to walk down to the ice house and back to the community cafe.
Good place to watch common seals and Gray Atlantic seals. Lying on the Beach.
Lovely place to visit, we stayed overnight on carpark next to harbor, was made to feel really welcome, no services so only self contained motorhomes, picnic benches & built in barbecues, the harbor is under going renovation
Took a walk along past the gardens to the seafront to see the seals. Gardens look well maintained and in food condition but also a lovely harbour and sea front.
What a wonderful community project!
