Sprawling, 4-mi. sand beach between craggy headlands with grassy dunes & limited parking.
Nice wide beach, with small car park and on street parking. Only a few minutes to walk from the carpark, but I expect the walk will be much longer on a hot day when the carpark is full and the approach road fills with cars. Great beach for dogs too. (Although there are the usual selfish owners who leave their dog pop on the sandy path so take care on the walk through!!) It is very stoney in parts so take beach shoes of some sort. Tide was well in when we were there, so don't know if the stones are just near the dunes or all the way. Will definitely go back if the weather improves.
Brilliant beach for surfing. Carpark is free but moderate in size with some road parking. Short walk to the beach on a sandy track, could just about pull the loaded beach trolley along it.
This beach is great. It is relatively quiet. Car parking is limited but you can usually find a spot at the road side. The waves can be impressive. The views are fantastic. Walking along the beach is great as there is plenty of it. There are no life guards in duty here so take extra care when in the water. Weaver fish can be found here. If you get stung put your foot in a bowl of hot water. It works... trust me. You may want to wear footwear when in the sea.
We stumbled across this three and half mile stretch of sandy beach purely by accident. The place was deserted but didn't fall to disappoint. What an amazing beach and seafront. The descent from the main road isn't an easy path but we'll worth the trouble. Sensational, adventurous and memorable. Loved each and every second.
TAKE CARE TO READ THE TIDE TIMES.....PLEASE BE AWARE IF YOU VISIT THIS BEACH THAT THE TIDE COMES ALL THE WAY IN TO THE BASE OF THE CLIFFS AND YOU MAY BE FURTHER AWAY FROM SAFETY THAN YOU THINK. Walk down the beach for 20 minutes and you could be nearly A MILE away from safety...... I was there the other day and people were aways down the beach on an incoming tide, in real danger of being cut off (the beach has a curve to it)..... Saying that, this is a massive beach with plenty of room for everyone and a wonderful place to be on a calm sunny day.
7 miles of dog walking heaven. Free parking, pounding surf and sunsets to die for. Rent Surfboards to Sups from Abersoch Surf shop, great value luxury accomodation at fferm Tyn Don and Sandy farm.
