A 7-mile stretch of coastline featuring a mixture of sandy beaches, rocky shores, and secluded coves, with gentle slopes and shallow waters making it ideal for swimming and water sports, while the picturesque harbour and historic pier add to the charm of this popular seaside resort.
It's alright for a beach, has a lot of arcades which I love and places to eat. Though when the tide is low it renders uncomfortably long walk to the water, making it less enjoyable. Sometimes it puts me off swimming altogether. It can be filled with people which is a given, but the water is usually pretty clean and warm. Much better than Barry beach. The icecream place just at the entrance is great, massive scoops and generous amount of flavours to choose from.
When Visiting Porthcawl we were met with Lizzy an unidentified stick of some sort that was washed up from the sea. It resembles a lizard or Gekko and was bringing crowds to see what was there.
Lovely beach, great access to food, refreshment and toy shops for the kids I have not gone into the fair although have heard good things about it. Great Overall Amazing beach.
