Near the Tate St Ives building, this scenic sandy beach is popular with surfers & swimmers.
Love this beach. It's not so busy as to be crowded and not full of dogs crapping everywhere (no dogs allowed during peak months). The beach bar is amazing. Open from early until 8pm, cheapest bar in st Ives (PS16 gets beer, white and a coke). And the kids chicken nuggets are literally to die for. Drinks, watching the sun go down, nothing better.
An amazing beach for family body boarding, we also returned in the evening to watch the sunset with a pizza from town. It's just lovely.
Beautiful beach. We parked in the rugby club and got a cheap bus that leaves from there to the beach, which saved me a big walk with the kids. Bus staff were friendly. Beautiful white sandy beach, clear sea and good waves for boogie boards. Toilets on the beach, lifeguards who were doing a great job, very attentive. Food place was gorgeous. Lovely fresh food and cakes. Couple of cool gift shops selling some nice clothes. Definitely worth a visit
Crystal clear waters and reliable waves make this a great surfing spot right in St Ives town. There's showers, toilets, cafe, shop, surf school and surf hire, all directly on the beach. Dogs are only allowed on the beach outside of summer time.
That day was gloomy and windy and still a wonderful experience. The people, the beach, seagulls, the beach wave sounds, the food and beer made it all perfect,
beautiful beach, with clean sand, clean water, toilets, restaurants with excellent food and awesome views.
