A picturesque harbour situated on the Gower Peninsula in southwest Wales, Port Eynon Harbour is a tranquil haven surrounded by lush green hills and towering cliffs. The harbour's calm waters reflect the vibrant colours of the surrounding landscape, creating a serene atmosphere. Fishing boats and sailing vessels bob gently in the harbour, while the sound of seagulls fills the air. The harbour's edge is lined with quaint cottages, cafes, and shops, adding to the charm of this idyllic coastal spot.
A stunning little harbour spot. The views are stunning and on the point looking back to Melvich Beach. The water was warm and a launch space. Narrow road leads down to the harbour. Well worth the stop.
Portskerra (from Scottish Gaelic Port Sgeire 'skerry harbour') is a hamlet that overlooks Melvich Bay in Sutherland, Highland, Scotland. The village of Melvich is less than a mile southeast. Not many people know of this place but it is extremely beautiful - little secluded from the main points but the views are magnificent and breathtaking. If you are traversing NC500, it's a must visit - not far from Thurso - a 25 minute drive but it will be worth it.
There is not much here. The harbour isn't really used any more. You can sit on a bench and look out at the sea and rocks. If you walk around the coast line towards the old pier you can see the nuclear power station in the distance.
