One night stay on bank holiday Friday evening after 4 hour train journey. Some years back Premier inn upped its game to ensure standards were improved and for most part previous stays around the country have been good indeed. This time it was well below standard. Room was dirty and carpet was so bad we couldn't really walk on it with bare feet. Bathroom mouldy and very dirty, hair all over the place. Sink did not drain properly and toilet flush failed to clear the pan. It was dusty on almost all surfaces including headboard. Really wanted a cup of tea but kettle again was dirty and it didn't feel like it was clean enough. We just went to bed and did not bother with breakfast next morning. 113 pound for a bed for 7 hours did not feel like good value at all.||We are back on Monday on our return leg. They have a chance to redeem themselves. I am hoping manager will work harder to improve standards. I'm not sure how other premier inns are like at present or whether this is a one off.

Stayed for two nights for Goodwood Festival of Speed, about 30 miles away.||Pros :-|Very friendly staff|Usual Premier Inn Room|Good breakfast in nice dining area|Free teabags etc in lobby|Vending machine in lobby for snacks|Easy access to Goodwood||Cons :-|No bar|No air con in room|Fan in room is good but not silent|Food option is TGI Fridays across car park|No lift||We knew there was no lift or air con before we travelled and this didn't bother us, but actually the room did get quite warm. Fan was a bit noisy and only moves the warm air around. Could be an issue on a very warm day.||Would've liked to get a pint at the end of a busy day, but didn't fancy going to Fridays for this. ||Plenty of food options locally, to either eat out or take back.||Would stay again though.

Free parking, lovely service from Charles and Eva and the breakfast servers next morning. Everyone was full of smiles, especially chefs Tina, Rachel and Harry. The hotel itself is a bit dated and in need of a revamp, but it was clean and tidy and the bed was comfy. The restaurant next door is a TGI Friday (from back in the day) but there are lots of options nearby. We ate at the Bar & Block in Whiteley and the steak was amazing.

Stayed one night. Although the room was clean, it had an overwhelming, musty, damp smell. Decor was old & tired looking. Breakfast was included, but if paid separately, it was PS10.99. Buffet style, but not nearly big enough for everyone to access. Food was just OK, but it's definitely not worth the PS10.99. Wouldn't recommend, or stay again.

The room was pleasant and the staff helpful. The receptionist was kind and helpful. I was impressed by the team of young guys running Sunday breakfasts. Hayden, Matt, Harry and Clive were hard working, cheerful, helpful and dedicated to giving us a good experience. Well done all

Our stay was quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was good value. Our rooms were clean. Recommended for a quiet overnight stay.
