Room clean etc. building run down. Restaurant looks even worse from the exterior. Better inside. ||The heat in the room spoiled our trip . 27 degrees. Wrapping dampened towels round our neck at night trying to get some sleep. There was a fan in the room. This did nothing. We couldn't wait to leave. Two ladies on reception were lovely. Very chatty and informative. First Lady we encountered before the 3pm check in.... Not so much. ||Ok for a night. Definitely not two! Such a shame as it's a good base location for sight seeing etc

I really liked it friendly staff. Big comfy room big bath excellent price and good breakfast. My room had a river view and with the current good weather was fantastic. They service breakfast over the road in the old beef eater. They said this is being refurbished soon as still feels like a beef eater but it was still nice.

You know what you are getting when booking a premier inn - the room was comfortable/clean and parking/electric charging aplenty, which suited us. Only negative was the stairs to climb for the furthest room from reception, not ideal when staying for more than one night and having something larger than an overnight bag. McDonald's opposite is handy.

Hotel is overdue a refurbishment which is now planned. The restaurant attached is in house and greatly improved. The location is excellent. It's very quiet and there are tables outside where you can enjoy a drink overlooking the Firth

We were visiting the area and decided to stay overnight and chose the Premier Inn as they always seem to be of a good standard. From the outside the Hotel doesn't look too bad, but the reception itself should have been a good indicator. Our room was tired and dated. Absolutely no doubt it was clean, but just really needing an upgrade. We sat for five minutes and decided to go home as there was no point in us staying.

Hotel itself was alright, rooms were fine, good sleep. ||||Do not pay for breakfast. We payed for breakfast for the 2 days we stayed and both days were presented with virtually no food. We managed 1 piece of bacon and 1 piece of toast each. We arrived for breakfast at 10am both days, which was prebooked with the hotel, the breakfast is run until 11am. Both times we arrived there was nothing left and no sign of staff restocking. If you know someone is arriving for breakfast at 10 you'd think the food would be restocked for them. I'd be interested in hearing from the team about a refund for our breakfasts, no one available to speak to at reception when we checked out.
