This 12-acre park in Preston, Lancashire, offers a fun-filled day out for kids of all ages. The park features a variety of playground equipment, including climbing frames, slides, and swings, as well as a skate park and BMX track for older kids. A miniature railway and a variety of pedal-operated vehicles, such as cars and tractors, provide endless entertainment. The park also boasts a large lake with paddle boats and a miniature golf course. For younger children, there are play areas with soft play equipment and a petting zoo with a range of friendly animals. The park has plenty of seating and picnic areas, as well as a café serving a range of snacks and refreshments.
Preston park is an alright place to take the kids, but there are a few faults. Firstly, the local teens seem to like damaging one particular activity in the park, and rather than replace it, the council leave it barricaded and broken for months, then fix it only for it to be broken again the following month. The facilities which are here are only suitable for a certain age group, so there's not a lot of reason to bring kids under three here. There's also a huge amount of space, but realistically not much to do. You can get about ten children total onto all of the facilities (except the climbing tower) which means even when it's not crowded, the kids get bored of waiting for turns. Extra seating for parents and some kind of climbing or adventure frame for the kids would go a long way to help.
Found it very interesting and a good idea for the local community, also found the Scooter work shop amazing. We were invited to come and look.
We went with an 18 month old so apart from 2 swings there was nothing else. I would of rated it higher had I taken an older child as there was much more for them
Decent facilities. Well overpriced for football usage at the lesuire centre! Making it hard for kids to play. Appalling, they need to address the overpricing soon!! Ashamed of their greed.!!
It's good for kids and family
Raven don't put any real effort into this place it's an out of site out of mind problem they prefer to put all their efforts into the Redhill, Reigate areas even community activities are better there ( we get a poor excuse of event once a year )
