A picturesque, tranquil bay on the west coast of Scotland, surrounded by rugged hills and scenic hiking trails, with a small, secluded beach and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming, kayaking, or simply relaxing in a serene atmosphere.
A favourite beach on a special island,soft sand,friendly locals,lovely views www.thelookoutskye.co.uk
What an absolute find, this beach is stunning, the pictures dont do it justice. We ended up spending the whole day here taking in the views and BBQing on the beach. The nearest toilet is in the ferry terminal waiting area about 10min walk away.
Gorgeous clean beautiful beach. Had a nice swim. The water is crystal clear. Just wow.
Really beautiful beach. White sand which just glows in the sun and beautiful clear water. Great for swimming ( if you are happy to go in cold water) as it is shallow and waves never get too big. Toilet and shower available at the ferry terminal which is a 5 minute walk. Quite easy to access down a path from the road. If you get the right weather you get some great sunsets here too. There is a walk just above the beach where you can see a cairn commemorating Bonnie Prince Charlie's landing on the beach. Saw Bonnie Prince Charlie's flowers growing along the pathway this year which I hadn't seen for a while. You must visit this beach if you are going to Eriskay.
Fantastic beach, quiet and beautiful views.
Couldn't find the plaque - I think down to Google marking the wrong spot.
