The South West Coast Path is a 630-mile (1,014 km) long-distance footpath that runs along the coastline of southwest England, from Minehead in Somerset to Poole in Dorset. It passes through two national parks, four Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and numerous heritage coasts, providing stunning views of the coastline, cliffs, and surrounding countryside. The path takes hikers through a diverse range of landscapes, including rugged cliffs, secluded coves, and sandy beaches, as well as picturesque villages and historic towns.
I was really looking forward to checking this one out but it didn't quite live up to the hype. There were no places to stop and eat lunch, and other visitors were really rude and impatient while we were stopping to take photos. The path itself is pretty good, but the atmosphere is sub par. I'd rather have spent another day enjoying the Bude Tunnel.
What a brilliant footpath. Good quality tar used on the road and good atmosphere around.
Hard walks round portreath .
Super
Public Footpath was top of our list of places to visit in Cornwall so we obviously had very high expectations and thankfully it didn't disappoint. Have already booked our return trip to visit it again next year.
